Sheriff Chris Amason has a law enforcement career that spans more than 30 years. He has led the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office since being elected in 2020. As the chief law enforcement officer of Cleveland County, Sheriff Amason is recognized as a proven and dedicated leader we can all trust. His experience and qualifications include:

COMMITMENT TO FAITH AND FAMILY
Sheriff Chris Amason is a lifelong conservative Republican. He has never wavered in the values, ideals, and beliefs deeply rooted in his faith. A native Oklahoman, Chris and his wife, Amber, have lived in Cleveland County for 22 years. Amber owns a local professional photography business. The couple have three sons: Reagan is in his third year of medical school at OU; Baylor attends Norman North; and Beckem is in elementary school. They are active members of Norman Bible Church.
